Alarm and fault indications for the following systems appear immediately on the universal display.

They fall into three categories.

Category K1
Messages of the highest priority.
The fault is displayed on the universal display until the fault is corrected.

Categories K2 and K3
Messages of medium and low priority.
These messages can be cleared from the display while still being stored in the fault indication memory. To delete, press the  ,   ,   or  button   on the universal steering wheel, or the reset button on the instrument panel.

Certain system messages are additionally confirmed by an audible signal.
When red indications of the warning and fault signaling system appear, an audible signal is additionally heard.
When red indications of the warning and fault signaling system appear, an audible signal always sounds.
Warning and fault indications, such as "TRUNK OPEN!" (TRUNK OPEN!) are not stored in the fault indication memory.

1 Electronic anti-skid (ESP) and traction control do not work.

To do this, turn the steering wheel from lock to lock and then back to the straight ahead position - the malfunction indication does not go out.
3 The system is temporarily out of service. The reason for this may be an incomplete self-diagnosis.
After a short run at a speed of more than 20 km/h, the display goes out.
4 If the voltage is too low, the system does not work, for example, if the battery is not being charged.
5 If there is a malfunction in the ESP system, the ESP warning light in the center console will not function.
If, in addition, the ABS system is faulty, engine power may be reduced.
