Nissan X-Trail generator design
The Nissan X-Trail car is equipped with a three-phase alternator with electromagnetic excitation, a diode rectifier unit with a built-in voltage regulator.
The generator provides electricity to all vehicle systems after starting the engine and recharges the battery. It is driven from the crankshaft pulley through a V-ribbed belt. Its optimal tension is automatically provided by the tension roller.
The generator installed on the Nissan X-Trail is a hard-to-remove structure. In the event of a malfunction, it is recommended to contact a specialized workshop for inspection and repair. Or replace the alternator with a new one yourself.
What generators are on the Nissan X-Trail
On the MR20DE and QR25DE engines, Hitachi generators with a capacity of 140 and 120 amperes were installed with a regulator voltage of 14.1 - 14.7 Volts.
