Opening the hood in a Ford Focus 2 car

1. Each Ford Focus 2 has a company emblem on the grille. To open the hood, turn the emblem counterclockwise to access the hood latch.

2. We insert the key into the lock cylinder and turn it counterclockwise until the lock is activated.

3. Then turn the key clockwise until it stops. While holding the key in this position, raise the hood.

4. Raising the hood, remove the stop from the holder and insert its hook into the socket of the hood panel.

5. In order not to lose or damage the key, immediately after opening the hood, remove it from the cylinder lock and return the emblem to its original position.

6. Before closing the hood, raise it a little and, having removed the stop hook, insert the stop into the holder. Having lowered the hood to a height of 15-30 cm  from the radiator lining, release the hood so that it closes under its own weight (this way you can prevent dents on the front surface of the hood).  Make sure the hood is securely closed. 

Note:

Before driving, pay attention to the message in the information display of the instrument cluster. If a message is displayed that the hood is not closed, then do not start driving. An unclosed hood may swing open while driving, resulting in an accident.
