Ashtrays and cigarette lighter for Opel Astra H

   The Astra's front ashtray is installed at the bottom of the instrument panel console in a common unit with a cigarette lighter closed by a lid. To open, you need to press on the edge of the block cover and release.

   The lid pops up under the action of a spring.

   To clean the ashtray, remove the insert from its socket, overcoming the resistance of its holders.

   To use the cigarette lighter, press the button on its movable part (the key in the ignition lock in position "I" or "II").

   After heating the spiral for 10-20 sec. the movable part will automatically click back to its original position, now the cigarette lighter can be removed for use.

   Warnings:

   The cigarette lighter can be turned on again no earlier than after 20 s. Do not hold the cigarette lighter forcibly in the pressed position.

   Do not use the cigarette lighter cartridge to connect powerful electrical appliances (electric coffee maker, etc.) - this may damage the electrical equipment of the car.

   If the cigarette lighter button does not return to its original position after 30 seconds. after switching on, remove the cigarette lighter from the cartridge to prevent the coil from burning out.

   The Opel rear ashtray is installed in the rear end of the floor tunnel lining.

   To use the ashtray, press on the left edge of its decorative trim.

   Rotate 180°.

   To empty the ashtray, press the cigarette extinguisher.

   Remove it from the lining of the floor tunnel.
