Ford Focus 3 cigarette lighter stopped working

Note:

If the cigarette lighter does not work in the Ford cabin, you need to check the corresponding fuse. If necessary, replace it.

Replacing the cigarette lighter fuse Ford Focus 3

1. In the passenger compartment, on the passenger side, remove the rug.

2. Under the glove box, below, there is a mounting block for fuses and relays. It is covered with a protective cover.

3. We take out 2 clips and remove the protective cover.

This will give you access to the fuses.

4. We find the Ford Focus cigarette lighter fuse 3. We need a fuse at number 61:  first row, fourth from the bottom  (number 20).

5. We pull on ourselves and take out the replaceable fuse from the block.

Note:

To pull it out, you will need round-nose pliers with ribbed tips. If they are flat and smooth, it will be very difficult to pull them out. You can also take tweezers.

6. Check the voltage at the terminals with a multimeter. There is no voltage. So the fuse has blown.

7. We replace the Ford Focus 3 cigarette lighter fuse with a new one with a rating of 20 amperes.

8. Install it in place in the block.

9. We check. Everything is working.
