This article describes how to properly check the oil level in an automatic transmission on a Hyundai Tussan.
According to the maintenance regulations, we check the fluid level in the automatic transmission after 15 thousand kilometers.
1. Place the vehicle on a level surface, apply the parking brake and start the engine, let it warm up to operating temperature.
2. Move the gear selector in turn in all positions: "R", "N" and "D", then leave the box in "N" or "P".

3. Keep the engine running and open the hood.
4. Pull out the dipstick of the oil level indicator and wipe it with a clean cloth, then insert the dipstick back.

5. Remove the oil level indicator again. The correct oil level in the automatic transmission for the Hyundai Tussan should be in the inscription HOT. If the oil level is below it, you need to add oil.
Note:
The COLD label is designed to control the level when changing the oil. That is, they poured it, filled it in, started it, put it in N and looked. If the level is between the COLD marks, then you can go and heat the oil for further checking. COLD means temperature from 10 to 20 degrees. The operating temperature of the oil is 80-90 degrees and it expands.
6. To top up the oil, you need to disconnect the clips of the air intake pipe.
7. Take the pipe aside and insert a special funnel into the tube of the oil level indicator.

8. Fill in oil while monitoring its level on the dipstick.
Note:
The maximum allowable fluid level must not be exceeded, as this may lead to transmission failure.
