Checking the level and topping up the working fluid in the Hyundai Accent MC power steering reservoir

Note:

The fluid level in the hydraulic booster reservoir of the Hyundai Accent is checked with the engine off, cold. When the engine is running, the fluid in the power steering system heats up, and, accordingly, the level in the reservoir may be slightly higher than the "MAX" mark.

The power steering fluid reservoir is installed in the engine compartment on the right mudguard bracket. To check the fluid level, you must install the car on a flat horizontal platform.​

1.  The MIN and MAX marks are marked on the tank, between which the level of the working fluid should be when the engine is cold.

2.  If the liquid level has dropped below the MIN mark, then it is necessary to add liquid, to do this, turn the cap counterclockwise, remove the cap from the tank.

3.  Add liquid to the tank. Wipe off spills with a clean rag and close the lid tightly.

USEFUL TIPS:

It is convenient to use a funnel to facilitate topping up the liquid. In the absence of a funnel for adding oil, you can make a funnel from the neck of a plastic bottle.
