Checking the automatic transmission fluid:

1. Drive the vehicle to allow the engine and transmission to warm up to normal operating temperature.

Liquid temperature:

• 70-80°C.

2. Stop the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.

3. With the engine idling, with the brake pedal depressed, move the shift lever alternately to all positions from P to L and return to position P.

4. Remove the dipstick and clean it.

6. Remove the dipstick and check that the fluid level is at the HOT position. If there are leaks, O-rings, seals, plugs or other parts must be repaired or replaced.
