1. Pull the parking brake lever all the way up and you should hear 7-8 clicks from the ratchet.

2. If the number of clicks does not fit within the above interval, remove the upper part of the floor tunnel lining with the cupholder unit.

3. Rotate the adjusting nut of the cable end to achieve the desired number of clicks.

4. If the required number of clicks cannot be achieved by turning the nut, bleed the brake system as described here .

5. If all else fails, remove the rear wheel.

6. Pry off the rubber plugs on the brake disc with a screwdriver.

7. Remove the rubber plugs from the parking brake clearance adjustment holes.

8. Insert a screwdriver into the hole, and rotate the nut of the parking brake adjusting device until the brake disc is completely braked by the parking brake pads (for clarity, the brake disc is removed).

8. Turn off a nut of the adjusting device on five clicks in the opposite direction.

10. Similarly, adjust the parking brake mechanism of the second wheel Nissan Qashqai.

11. Again adjust the number of clicks of the parking brake lever by turning the adjusting nut of the cable end (see item 3).

12. Turn the brake discs by hand. They should rotate evenly, without jerks. Otherwise, repair of the parking brake actuator or rear wheel brakes will be required.

13. Install all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
