Note:

Recently, there has been a blurred gear shift, especially 1st and 3rd gears.

We buy 2 bearings with dimensions 22mm x 8mm + 8 washers with an outer diameter of ~ 24 mm and an inner diameter of 8 mm.

Toyota Corolla manual transmission cable bushings replacement

1. Remove the decorative engine cover.

2. Unscrew the air pipe (from the air filter and throttle body).

3. Remove the chip from the idle valve.

4. Remove the retaining bracket from the stem and gently pull the bushing out.

Visually, the sleeve is alive.

5. Collect everything back.

6. Lightly grease the bearing seat stem.

Result

7. Bottom line - switching became clear, but more rigid. Rubber bushings served as a damper.
