Tools:
- Tool (stopper) for fixing the flywheel or torque converter drive plate МВ991883
- Collar for end nozzle
- Nozzle on the collar 18 mm
- torque wrench
- Dial head with tripod (or stand for measuring axial runout)
- Knife (or scraper)
Parts and consumables:
- Engine flywheel 0532.S2
- Torque converter drive plate 0535.A9
- Adapter plate 0535.A7
- Cleaner (or solvent)
- Sealant Three Bond 1324 (or equivalent)
- Motor oil
- rags
Notes:
Remove the Citroen C-Crosser flywheel (or torque converter drive plate) to replace the crankshaft rear oil seal, to replace if the gear rim is damaged, and to grind the surface for the clutch disc.
1. Remove the manual transmission assembly or CVT.
2. Remove the cover and clutch disc (models with manual transmission).
3. Using a special tool (stopper, catalog number MB991883), fix the flywheel or torque converter drive plate and unscrew the mounting bolts (shown on the removed engine for clarity).
4. Remove flywheel or torque converter drive plate with adapter plate.
5. Check up a condition of teeths of a rim of a flywheel (plate), in case of their damage replace a flywheel (plate). Also check the torque converter drive plate for deformation, damage or cracks. Replace if necessary.
Note:
If the crown teeth are damaged, also check the starter drive gear.
6. Replace or repair the flywheel if there are marks or scratches on the flywheel surfaces.
7. You can repair or check the flywheel in a workshop with special equipment. The flywheel runout, measured along the friction surface, should not exceed 0.13 mm. It can be measured on a special stand or, without removing it from the engine, using a dial indicator with the necessary tripod.
8. To remove deep scratches and scratches, the contact surface can be ground, and the thickness of the layer of metal being removed should not exceed 0.3 mm.
9. Before installation, clean the flywheel mounting bolts (manual transmission) or torque converter drive plates (variator), threaded holes in the crankshaft and the mounting surface on the flywheel (manual transmission) or torque converter drive plate (variator) from oil, old sealant and other contaminants.
10. Now you need to install the flywheel (manual transmission) or the torque converter drive plate (variator) with the adapter plate on the crankshaft. Install and tighten the mounting bolts by hand.
11. Using the special tool (MB991883), similarly to the removal procedure, fix the flywheel (manual transmission) or torque converter drive plate (CVT).
12. Apply engine oil to the mounting bolt head flange and the specified sealant to the mounting bolt threads.
13. Pre-tighten the fastening bolts with a nominal torque of 40 Nm in the sequence shown in the figure.
14. Finally tighten the mounting bolts with a nominal torque of 130 Nm in the sequence shown in the figure above.
15. Establish a casing and a conducted disk of coupling, and also a transmission in gathering and all removed details in sequence, return to removal.
