Tools:
- Open end wrench 10 mm
- Phillips screwdriver (for A15SMS engines)
- Ratchet wrench (for F16D3 engines)
- Bit head Torx T25 (for F16D3 engines)
Parts and consumables:
- Throttle Position Sensor 94580175
Notes:
Remove throttle position sensor for replacement. The operations for dismantling the throttle position sensor on vehicles with F16D3 and A15SMS engines are almost the same.
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.
2. On a vehicle with an A15SMS engine, depress the engine management system wiring harness connector retainer and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the sensor to the throttle assembly and remove the sensor from the throttle valve axis.
Note:
On a car with an F16D3 engine, we unscrew the screws securing the throttle position sensor with a Torx T25 bit head (for clarity, it is shown on the dismantled throttle assembly).
4. Before installing the sensor, make sure the throttle valve is fully closed. Install the sensor on the throttle assembly so that the shank of the damper shaft fits into the groove of the sensor.
5. Fix the sensor with screws and connect the wiring harness block to it.
