Notes:
Signs of a not fully closing throttle may be increased idling speed and fuel consumption, and if the throttle is not fully opened, the engine does not develop full power and is not throttle response enough, jerks and dips in its operation are observed when the car is moving.
Throttle valve fouling from blow-by deposits usually results in erratic idling.
The throttle valve drive is electric, it is controlled by the electronic unit of the engine control system. Repairs to the actuator require special equipment and qualified personnel.
If these problems occur, first try flushing the throttle body (for example, with a thinner or special carburetor cleaner in an aerosol can). If this does not lead to a positive result, replace the throttle assembly.
