Removal and installation of the air filter housing with an Octavia air duct

Tool:

• Open-end wrench 10 mm
• Pliers
• Screwdriver flat medium

Parts and consumables:

• Air filter housings with air duct Skoda Octavia

1.  Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.

2.  Use pliers to loosen the clamp securing the air duct to the throttle body.

3.  Use a screwdriver to pry out the retainer with a flathead screwdriver.

4.  Disconnect block from the valve of system recirculation of the fulfilled gases.

5.  Loosen the hose clamp of the recirculation system hose to the recirculation valve branch pipe. You need a flat blade screwdriver.

6.  Disconnect from branch pipes of the valve of system of recirculation a hose of system of recirculation and a vacuum hose which is under it.

7.  Take the air duct away from the throttle assembly.

8.  Squeeze the fixing ring of the sleeve of the air supply system to the intake manifold with your fingers.

9.  Disconnect the sleeve from the duct connection.

10.  Remove the air filter element.

11.  Pull up the air filter housing and, overcoming the elastic resistance of the rubber clamps A and B, disconnect it from the battery tray.

Note:

When removing the air filter housing, the intake silencer pipe will come out of the rubber seal in the bottom of the housing.

12.  Remove the air filter housing and the air duct connected to it from the engine compartment.

13.  Establish the case of the air filter with an air duct in an order, the return to removal.
