Removal and installation of an upholstery of a back door of Skoda Octavia

Tool:

• Key with Torx tip (asterisk) Т25
• Key with Torx tip (asterisk) Т30
• Screwdriver flat medium

Parts and consumables:

• New clips for fastening the upholstery of the rear door

Removal and installation of an upholstery of a back door of Skoda Octavia

1.  Disconnect the wire from the "minus" terminal of the Skoda Octavia battery, as described  here .

2.  Use a screwdriver to pry up the facing pad of the rear door armrest handle.

3.  Remove the trim.

4.  Turn out 2 screws of fastening of an upholstery in the handle of an armrest. You need a TORX T30 wrench.

5.  Pry with a screwdriver and remove the tweeter grille.

6.  Turn out the screw of fastening of an upholstery of a door of Skoda Octavia under a lattice of high-frequency loudspeaker. You need a TORX T25 key.

7.  Pry with a screwdriver.

8.  Disconnect the upholstery from the door panel, overcoming the force of its plastic caps.

9.  Pry off the retainer with a screwdriver.

10.  Disconnect block of a plait of wires of the central lock.

11.  Squeeze the latch and disconnect the tweeter harness connector.

12.  Remove the tip of the sheath of the rear door lock drive cable from the handle socket.

13.  Disconnect the tip of the cable from the lever of the inner handle and remove the upholstery.

Note:

The rear door upholstery (reverse side view) is attached to the door panel with seven plastic clips. Replace damaged pistons with new ones.

14.  Establish an upholstery of a back door on Skoda Octavia and all removed details in an order, the return to removal.
