Removal and installation of facing of a tunnel of a floor of Skoda Octavia

Tool:

• Key with Torx tip (asterisk) Т20
• Key with Torx tip (asterisk) Т25
• Key with Torx tip (asterisk) Т30
• Open-end wrench 10 mm

1.  Disconnect the wire from the "minus" terminal of the Skoda Octavia battery, as described  here . To do this, you need a key for 10.

2.  Remove the ashtray from the central floor tunnel.

3.  Overcoming resistance of plastic holders, take a frame of the gear lever from a facing socket.

4.  Disconnect the wiring harness block from the transmission control lever frame.

5.  Under the shift lever frame, remove the two screws that secure the ashtray box. You need a TORX T20 wrench.

6.  Remove the ashtray box.

7.  Turn out the screw of fastening of the left lateral facing of a tunnel of a floor to the central arm on a body. You need a TORX T30 wrench.

8.  Remove the left side lining of the floor tunnel.

9.  Similarly remove the right lateral facing of a tunnel of a floor.

10.  Remove the ashtray from its nest in the part of the lining of the floor tunnel.

11.  Overcoming the resistance of plastic holders.

12.  Remove the ventilation and heating nozzles for the rear passengers.

13.  Turn out two screws of fastening of a decorative insert of facing of a tunnel of a floor in its top part. You need a TORX T25 key.

14.  Turn out two screws of fastening of a decorative insert of facing of a tunnel of a floor in its bottom part. You need a TORX T25 key.

15.  Remove the decorative insert.

16.  Pull towards you and remove the air outlet pipe.

17.  Raise the lining of the floor tunnel and turn out the fastening screws on the left and right. You need a TORX T25 key.

18.  Remove the armrest.

19.  Turn out four screws of fastening of facing of a tunnel of a floor in a back part. You need a TORX T25 key.

20.  Turn out two screws of fastening of facing of a tunnel of a floor in a forward part. You need a TORX T25 key.

21.  Raise the parking brake lever all the way up.

22.  Turn the decorative cover of the gear lever and lift the lining of the floor tunnel, then disconnect the wiring harness pads from the cigarette lighter terminals and the central locking key.

23.  Remove facing of the central tunnel of a floor.

24.  Establish facing of the central tunnel of a floor and all removed details in an order, the return to removal.

Note:

Depending on the equipment, additional equipment can be placed in the rear part of the floor tunnel lining and in the space below the armrest, in which case the removal process may differ slightly from that described.
