Removing and installing the front wing in a Ford Focus 2

You will need: a key and a “10” socket head.

Removal and installation of the front wing on the Ford Focus 2

1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.

2. Remove the mudguard.

3. Front fender liner.

4. Remove the noise insulation from the wing cavity.

5. Remove the headlight.

6. Turn out bolts of fastening of a forward bumper to a forward wing Ford.

7. Compress a latch of a clamp and disconnect a bumper from a wing.

8. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a back edge of a wing to a forward rack of a body.

Note:

For clarity, the front door has been removed, however, with the door fully open, full access to the wing bolt is provided.

9. Squeezing out the rear edge of the decorative corner trim of the A-pillar.

10. Remove the lining, overcoming the elastic resistance of the three caps of its fastening.

11. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a wing to a forward rack, located under a decorative slip.

12. Remove the air intake grille and plenum plate.

13. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a wing Ford Focus 2 to a bulkhead shield.

14. Unscrew the clips of the two caps for fastening the decorative shield of the front wing.

15. Pry with a screwdriver.

16. Remove the retainers.

17. Remove the caps.

18. Remove the shield.

19. Turn out 2 bolts of fastening of a wing to a mudguard of a motor compartment.

 Turn out a bolt of fastening to a framework of a motor compartment.

21. Turn out a bolt of fastening to a forward rack of a body in an arch of a forward wheel.

22. Turn out 2 bolts of fastening to a threshold of a body.

23. Remove the front fender on the Ford Focus 2.

24. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
