Removal and installation of the front shock absorber strut Nissan Qashqai

1. Brake the car with a parking brake and install wheel chocks (“boots”) under the rear wheels.

2. Remove the wheel from the side of the strut being removed.

Warning:

Loosen and tighten the wheel nuts only with the vehicle on the ground.

3. Open the hood and place it on the stop.

4. Remove the wheel speed sensor wire holders from the brackets on the Nissan Qashqai shock absorber strut.

5. Using pliers, remove the brake hose spring retainer.

6. Remove the brake hose from the bracket.

7. Remove a protective cap from a nut of fastening of a rack of the stabilizer.

8. While holding from turning, unscrew the nut securing the upper hinge of the stabilizer strut to the shock absorber strut bracket.

9. Move the Nissan Qashqai shock absorber to the side.

10. Clear a carving surface of bolts of fastening of a rotary fist to a shock-absorber rack from a dirt.

11. While holding the head of the coupling bolt from turning, unscrew the nut securing the steering knuckle to the shock absorber strut and remove the bolt. Loosen the lower nut in the same way and remove the second shock absorber strut coupling bolt.

12. Disconnect the bottom fastening of a shock-absorber rack from a rotary fist of a forward suspension bracket.

13. Remove the air intake box grille.

14. Loosen the nut of the upper fastening of the shock absorber rod, holding the rod from turning with the second key.

15. Turn out 3 bolts of fastening of the top support to a body.

16. Remove the Nissan Qashqai shock absorber.

17. Install all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.

Note:

After replacing the front suspension strut or parts, check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment as described here . Or use the services of workshops that have special equipment for this.
