You will need: a “14” wrench, a “19” socket head with an extension cord.
1. Set the vehicle's wheels to the straight ahead position.
2. Hang the car on a lift or raise the front of the car above the inspection ditch. Remove the front wheels.
3. Remove the engine mudguards (see "Removing and installing mudguards and engine crankcase protection", page 85).
4. Turn out four bolts of fastening of a guard of a stretcher...
5. ... and remove the shield.
6. Drain the fluid from the power steering system (see "Replacing the working fluid and bleeding the power steering system", page 160).
7. Turn out a bolt of fastening of an arm of a hose of the hydraulic booster of a steering to a side member.
8. Disconnect the high pressure hose from the power steering pump (see "Replacing the power steering pump", page 161).
9. Disconnect the power steering fluid drain hose from the power steering reservoir (see "Replacing the Power Steering Reservoir", p. 161).
10. Disconnect the steering shaft from the steering mechanism (see "Removing and installing the steering column", page 158).
11. Disconnect the outer tie rod ends from the steering knuckles (see "Replacing the outer tie rod end", p. 159).
12. Disconnect the ball joint pin from the steering knuckle (see "Removing and installing the front suspension arm", p. 145).
13 Unscrew the nuts securing the stabilizer bar hinges to the shock absorber strut brackets (see "Replacing parts of the front suspension anti-roll bar", p. 145).
14. Place supports under the front suspension subframe.
15 Remove the bolts of the front ...
16. ... and bolts of the rear mounts of the front suspension subframe.
17. Remove the front suspension subframe assembly with steering gear
18. Remove the steering gear from the subframe (see "Replacing the steering gear", p. 162).
19. Install the steering mechanism on the subframe, and the front suspension subframe on the car in the reverse order of removal.
20. Bleed the power steering system (see "Replacing the working fluid and pumping the power steering", p. 160).
