Removal and installation of the traction relay of a starter Mercedes-Benz W203

Tool:

• Clamp

Parts and consumables:

• rags
• sealant

Withdrawal

1. Remove the starter, refer to the relevant section .

2.  Clamp the starter in the clamp. Wrap the clamping jaws with a cloth for protection.

3. Turn away a nut and disconnect a cable from the plug on the traction relay.

4. Turn away nuts and take out the traction relay from the block of a starter.

Installation

1. Lubricate the mating surface of the starter block with sealant.

2. Connect the traction relay to the starter block and secure.

3. Attach the cable to the traction relay terminal.

4. Check the starter before installation in the disconnected state.

5. Install the starter, refer to the appropriate section.
