Note:
The front bumper on the Nissan X-Trail consists of a decorative plastic lining and an amplifier.
An assistant is needed to complete the work .
Removing the front bumper on the Nissan X-Trail
1. Place the car on a level surface, and turn off the ignition.
2. Raise the hood cover and fix it with the stop.
3. Use a flathead screwdriver to push out the latches and pull out the 4 grille latches.
4. At the corners of the grille, using a flat screwdriver, through the holes, turn the plastic clips clockwise 90 degrees and pull them out towards you.
5. Disengage the 4 latches (red arrows) of the radiator grille from engagement with the bumper.
Reverse side of the grid
6. Remove the grille.
Note:
You can remove the front bumper on the Nissan X-Trail together with the grille. To do this, it will be enough to remove 2 holders for attaching the grille to the radiator frame.
7. Using a flat screwdriver, pull out the clips and remove the 3 holders of the lower mounting of the front bumper.
8. Using a Torx T20 wrench, remove 3 screws of the Nissan X-Trail lower bumper mount on both sides.
9. In the wheel arches, prying with a screwdriver, pull out the 2 fender liner holders to the wheel arch.
10. With a Torx T20 wrench, turn out on both sides the screw securing the wheel arch lining.
11. Disengage 2 holders.
12. Disconnect the trim from the front bumper Nissan X-Trail.
13. Pull out the holder and bend the front fender liner.
14. Using a 10 mm head, unscrew the Nissan X-Trail front bumper nut.
15. Remove a sidewall of an overlay from an arm.
16. In the same way, remove the lining sidewall from the bracket and from the other side of the car.
17. Disconnect the hose from the headlight washer nozzles and holders on the front bumper.
18. Wring out pads of wires from fog lamps.
19. Remove the Nissan X-Trail front bumper.
20. Install the front bumper and all parts in the reverse order of removal.
