This article describes how to remove the expansion tank Audi A6.
The coolant expansion tank is located in the left rear of the engine compartment.
Coolant tank.
1. Open the hood as described in this article .
2. Turn off a cover of a broad tank counter-clockwise.
3. Pump out as much coolant as possible from the expansion tank using a soap dispenser and hose.

Note:
Connect the hose to the liquid soap dispenser and pump out the liquid. You can also use a syringe with a hose.
4. Squeeze both hose clamps, slide the clamps down the hoses and disconnect the hoses from the reservoir.
5. Similarly, disconnect the lower hose of the expansion tank.
Note:
After disconnecting this hose, fluid will flow from the reservoir. If you have not pumped out the fluid from the tank, then it is better to disconnect this hose last (after disconnecting the coolant sensor).
6. Plug the lower hose with a piece of polyethylene or cellophane so that nothing leaks out of it.
7. Turn off fastenings of a broad tank.
8. Pull the tank up overcoming the force of its clamps.
9. Disconnect the coolant temperature sensor from the Audi A6 expansion tank.
10. Install all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
11. Fill the Audi A6 car with antifreeze (coolant) as described in this article .
