Removing the Toyota Camry oil pump drive chain

Tools:

• Nozzle on the collar
• socket wrench
• Pin diameter 4 mm

1. Rotate the crankshaft 90° counterclockwise and align the mark on the oil pump shaft with the hole on the pump housing as shown.

Correct (aligned by marks) position of the crankshaft:

1 - hole on the pump housing.

2. Insert a 4 mm pin into the hole in the shaft or with another tool, fix it, and unscrew the nut.

3. Remove the oil pump drive chain tensioner with a spring by unscrewing the mounting bolt, then remove the sprockets and chain.
