We carry out work when checking and replacing the reverse light switch.
The switch is located on top of the gearbox, under the battery platform.
We remove the air intake with the resonator assembly (see Removing the air intake and air path resonator).
Pry off the wire connector with a screwdriver.
Disconnect the block from the switch.
To check the electrical circuits with a piece of wire, we close the contacts of the wire block and turn on the ignition. If the reverse light comes on, replace the reverse light switch. If the lamp does not light up, you should check the electrical circuit from the wiring block to the reverse light lamp.
Using a 24mm wrench, unscrew the switch.
To check the switch, we connect the tester probes to the switch terminals in ohmmeter mode. For a working switch with a free state of its stem, the tester should fix “infinity”.
With a "recessed" stem (switch contacts are closed) - the presence of a circuit.
before installing the switch.
We apply a thin layer of sealant to the threaded part of the switch.
We wrap the switch in the hole in the gearbox housing and tighten it. Connect the wiring harness to the switch connector.
We install in place the air intake with the resonator assembly.
