Removing the rear bumper in a Ford Focus 2

Note:

We carry out work during the repair and replacement of the rear bumper and its amplifier.

Work should be done with an assistant.

Removing the rear bumper Ford Focus 2 

1. From the bottom of the car, disconnect the fog lamp wiring harness blocks.

2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the lower screw securing the left mudguard.

3. Using the Torx T-25 wrench, unscrew the screw securing the upper mudguard holder.

4. Remove the holder.

5. Turn off the remaining 2 mudguard holders.

6. We remove it.

7. Similarly, remove the right mudguard.

8. On the left and right sides, with a “10” head, unscrew the nuts of the side mounting of the Ford Focus 2 rear bumper.

9. With a 10 "head, we unscrew the screws of the rear bumper mounting on both sides.

10. From below, with a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the latches of the two pistons for attaching the bumper to the plastic cushions.

11. We take out the caps.

12. Having applied the necessary force, we separate the sides of the Ford Focus 2 rear bumper from the body.

13. Remove the rear bumper.

14. On each side of the car with a “13” head, unscrew 3 nuts securing the flanges of the bumper amplifier to the body.

15. We remove it.

16. Install the amplifier and rear bumper in reverse order.
