Notes:
Lighting devices may only be used in compliance with the traffic regulations and/or other legal regulations in force in the respective country.
The driver is responsible for the correct adjustment and use of lighting devices.
Switching the lighting on and off
1. Turn on side lights: turn the light switch to position I;
2. Switching on the dipped beam: turn the light switch to position II;
3. Turning on the high beam: turn on the low beam and move the lever (steering column switch) of the high beam forward;
4. Switch off the lights (except for daytime running lights): turn the light switch to position O.
Activating daylight mode
1. Remove the fuse box cover located on the left side of the front panel.
2. Set the Škoda Fabia 2 light switch to position O.
3. Turn on the daytime running light with the switch.
Deactivating daylight mode
1. Remove the fuse box cover located on the left side of the front panel.
2. Turn off the daytime running light with the switch.
3. Turn the light switch to the side lights (I) or dipped beam (II).
Turning on the fog lights
1. First set the light switch to position (I) or (II).
2. Set the light switch to position A.
Switching on the rear fog lamp
1. First set the light switch to position (I) or (II).
2. Set the light switch to position B.
Note:
If the car is not equipped with fog lamps, the Skoda Fabia 2 fog tail lamp is turned on by turning the switch to position (І) or (ІІ) with installation directly to position B. This switch has only one position, not two.
If the vehicle is equipped with a factory-equipped trailer tow hitch or retrofitted with a trailer hitch from KODA Genuine S Accessories, when the rear fog light is switched on while towing a trailer, only the rear fog light of the trailer is switched on.
Skoda Fabia 2 headlight corrector
1. Turn the knob to the desired lamp angle.
The provisions roughly correspond to the following download options:
- The front seats of the car are occupied, the trunk is empty (-);
- All car seats are occupied, the trunk is empty (1);
- All car seats are occupied, the trunk is loaded (2);
- The driver's seat is occupied, the trunk is loaded (3).
Warning:
It is recommended to adjust the position of the headlights when the dipped beam is on.
Always set the headlight range control in such a position that:
– the headlights do not dazzle other road users, especially drivers of oncoming vehicles;
– lighting range ensured safe movement.
Hazard light switch
1. To turn the hazard warning lights on or off, press the button with the red triangle drawn on it.
Notes:
When the hazard warning light is turned on, all direction indicators of the Skoda Fabia 2 start flashing. The warning lamp for turning on the hazard warning light and the control lamp for the switch also start flashing.
The emergency light alarm system can be included and at the switched off ignition. If the airbag deploys during an accident, the hazard warning lights will turn on automatically.
Hazard lights should be turned on if:
– the end of the plug has been reached;
in the event of a breakdown or other emergency.
Lever for direction indicators and high beam headlights
The turn signal/high beam switch is also used to switch the parking light and signal light on and off.
1. Right and left turn signal: press the switch up or down.
2. To flash the turn signal three times (so-called comfort turn on), briefly move the lever up or down to the point of resistance and release.
3. Lane change alarm for short turn signals: move the lever up or down to the point of resistance and hold it in that position.
Notes:
The direction indicators only work when the ignition is on. The corresponding indicator lamp in the instrument cluster also flashes.
After the turn is completed, the direction indicators turn off automatically.
If one of the turn signal bulbs on the vehicle burns out, the warning light will flash twice as fast.
High beam Skoda Fabia 2
1. Turn on the dipped beam (II) .
2. Push the switch forward in direction of arrow A.
3. To turn off the high beam, return the switch to its original position in the direction of arrow B.
Light signal ("flashing distant")
1. Pull the lever towards the steering wheel (to the spring-loaded position) in the direction of arrow B. This turns on the main beam and the control lamp in the instrument cluster lights up.
