Using a jack Toyota Corolla

Note:

When using the jack on soft ground, place a block or plank under the base of the jack.

Using a jack on a Toyota Corolla

1. Engage the 1st gear in the manual transmission or put the automatic transmission selector lever to the “P” (parking) position, brake the car with the parking brake.

2. Ask the passengers to get out of the car.

3. If you towed a trailer, disconnect it from the vehicle.

4. Remove the key from the ignition to prevent accidental starting of the engine.

5. Place the wheel stops on the opposite side.

6. Open the trunk.

7. Remove the jack well cover.

8. Turn the power screw at the wrench lug until the jack is released from the latches.

9. Remove the jack.

10. Remove the knob from the bag supplied with the vehicle.

11. Insert the curved end of the wrench into the jack power screw lug.

NOTE:

It looks like a jack prepared for work

12. Install the jack foot in the specially provided places located on the body sills near each wheel.

WARNINGS:

If possible, do not work under a jacked vehicle. But if you can't do without it, install additional supports under the body.

Additional supports should only be installed under places specially designed for lifting the vehicle. Place a rubber or wood spacer between the support and the vehicle body.

Install the tripod support so that two of its legs are on the side of the car body, and one is on the outside.

13. After using the jack, place it in the well and close the tool compartment cover and the rear of the spare wheel well cover.
