1. Wrap bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders. The block head bolts are tightened in two stages. Before installing, apply a little engine oil to the threads and under the bolt heads.

2. Evenly, in several passes, tighten the ten cylinder head bolts to a tightening torque of 79 Nm in the sequence shown in the figure.

Note:

If one of the bolts is damaged, replace it.

3. Mark the edge of the bolt facing the front of the engine.

4. Tighten all bolts 90° in the above sequence. Make sure all bolt marks are rotated 90° from their original position.

5. Install the VVT-i valve and tighten to 9 Nm.

6. Install camshafts.

7. Establish the bottom loose leaf of the forward bearing of a camshaft.
