Note:
If the sensor or its circuit malfunctions, the engine control system malfunction indicator lamp will light up on the instrument panel.

The gas pedal position sensor cannot be repaired, therefore, in the event of a malfunction, the electronic pedal assembly is replaced.
The need for replacement can be determined during the diagnosis of the engine management system.
Hyundai Creta Pedal Position Sensor Replacement
Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the ignition.

In the engine compartment, loosen the bolt with a socket head by 10 mm and remove the negative battery terminal.

Go to the car interior and remove the instrument panel trim.

Press the latch and disconnect the wiring harness from the Kreta gas pedal position sensor.

Inspect the pad contacts. If oxides are found, treat the contacts with a cleaner.
Using a 10 mm socket, unscrew the 3 nuts securing the pedal.
Remove the gas pedal from the studs.
Replace the pedal together with the Hyundai Creta gas pedal position sensor with a working one.

Reinstall the gas pedal in the reverse order of removal. Fastening nuts tighten the moment 8 Н•м.
Install the instrument panel trim.

Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
