  • FLUORINE GREASE

Note:

The gap between the electrodes of the spark plugs should be 0.95 ± 0.05 mm.

1.  Disconnect the tip of the high-voltage wire from the candle, which we will replace.

2.  We turn out the candle.

3.  Remove the candle from the candle well. Assess her condition by appearance.

4.  We check the gap between the electrodes of the candle, it should be equal to 0.95 ± 0.05 mm.

5.  If the gap size does not match the required value, it can be adjusted by bending the side electrode.

Warning:

The gap can only be adjusted by bending the side electrode. Attempting to bend the center electrode will break the spark plug.

6.  Install the spark plug. First, it must be screwed in by hand and only after that, tighten with a wrench to a torque of 25–30 N m.

7.  Before installing the high voltage wire lugs, lubricate them with FLUORINE GREASE grease (Renault part number 82 00 168 855), but Vaseline may be used. We connect high-voltage wires to spark plugs.

Note:

When connecting high-voltage wires, keep in mind that on this car, the numbering of the engine cylinders comes from the flywheel side.
