Replacing the high beam lamp Mazda 3 (VK) 2003 - 2009

Tools:

• Large flat screwdriver

Parts and consumables:

• Cloth gloves
• rags
• Alcohol
• Original HB3 halogen lamp (12v/60W)  Mazda 9970-37-650 or  Mazda 9970-ST-HB3

Note:

Do not replace xenon lamps yourself!

Do not touch the bulb of the halogen bulb with your hands! Since the lamp gets quite hot, touch marks can cause the bulb to darken or explode.

It is recommended to take the light bulb by the flask with a clean rag or gloves. If you notice greasy spots on the flask, remove them with alcohol.

Do not install light bulbs of higher power than indicated in the instructions.

During replacement, hold the lamp by the base, not by the bulb.​

Replace Mazda 3 high beam bulbs  in pairs , as different bulbs may illuminate the road differently.

Mazda 3 high beam bulb replacement procedure

1.  Turn off the ignition and move the central lighting switch to the OFF position.

2.  Raise the hood cover and install on the stop.

3.  Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

4.  When replacing the high beam lamp Mazda 3  on the left headlight , be sure to dismantle the plastic shield. To do this, take a flat screwdriver, pull out the 3 fastening clips and remove the casing.

On vehicles with a 2.0 liter engine. remove the headlight cover together with the battery cooling air intake.

5. Press the plastic tab and disconnect the wiring harness block. 

6. Unscrew the Mazda 3 high beam lamp housing by turning it to the left. 

7. Remove the light bulb from the socket in the headlight housing.

8. Replace the Mazda 3 high beam bulb with a working one. Put the whole structure back together.
