Replacing the power steering pump Ford Focus 2

We pump out the fluid from the reservoir of the power steering pump.
Remove the accessory drive belt.
We substitute a container under the power steering pump to collect the working fluid.

The Ford Focus 2 power steering pump is attached to the generator bracket with four bolts (for clarity, the attachment points on the dismantled pump are shown)

To remove the pump, disconnect the wire block from the working fluid pressure sensor.

With a “10” head, we unscrew the bolt securing the pump and the bracket for the discharge pipe.

Using the “18” key, we unscrew the fitting of the discharge line pipe and remove it together with the bracket.
Under the fitting of the discharge line pipe there is a filling line hose, which is attached with a clamp to the pump nozzle. Squeezing the ends of the hose clamp with pliers, slide the clamp along the hose and remove the hose from the nozzle.

With a “10” head, we unscrew the remaining three bolts securing the Ford Focus 2 power steering pump to the generator bracket.

Remove the pump from the engine compartment.
Install the pump in reverse order.
Pour working fluid into the power steering reservoir.
We are pumping the system.
