Parts and consumables:
- Coolant
Note:
The Skoda Rapid coolant should be replaced only on a cool, non-running engine, and before starting the engine, do not forget to close the expansion tank with a stopper. Before replacing antifreeze with a Skoda Rapid, we install the car on a horizontal platform without a slope.
1. Unscrew the plug of the Skoda Rapid expansion tank.

2. We take out the hose from the radiator pipe, loosen the clamp, move it and remove the inlet hose from the pipe. We are waiting for all the antifreeze to merge.

3. We flush the cooling system from liquid residues, put the hose back on the pipe and fill the cooling system with water.
4. We start and wait for the fan to operate. This means that all circuits are open: the water has pumped the entire system and it can be drained.
Note:
We look at the water, if the water is cloudy - repeat the procedure! And so on until you get the desired result.
6. After flushing, fill in the coolant to the maximum and close the plug of the expansion tank.

7. We start, wait for the fan to start working, turn off the engine and wait for it to cool down. Again we check the level of antifreeze on the Skoda Rapid, if it has decreased, we add it to the maximum.
Note:
When carrying out all work related to the start and operation of the engine, control this process using the indicator on the dashboard. If everything is normal, then the sensor should not work and the indicator on the panel will not light up. If the indicator lights up when the fan is not working, turn on the stove and check if the air is warm. If the air is cold, then there is a blockage in the system. To remove it, the engine must be turned off. We are waiting for it to cool down, remove the radiator cap, start the engine and let it run with the lid open for 3 minutes and close it.
