Nissan X-Trail Front ABS Sensor Replacement
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the ignition.
2. Install wheel chocks on both sides under the rear wheels.
3. Loosen the wheel nuts about 1/2 turn using a 21mm Allen wrench or socket.
4. Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and place it on secure supports.
5. Slowly lift the car up until the wheel is 2-3 cm from the ground.
6. Finally turn away nuts of fastening, and remove a wheel.
7. Use a metal brush to clean the ABS sensor and the surface of the Nissan X-Trail steering knuckle from dirt.
8. Pry with a flathead screwdriver, pull out the latches and remove the 4 dust shield holders.
9. Fold it aside.
10. Use a flat screwdriver to squeeze out the latch and disconnect the block of wires from the front Nissan X-Trail ABS sensor.
11. Disengage the sensor harness from the holder on the mudguard.
12. Disengage the sensor harness from the 2 holders on the column.
13. Using a 10 mm wrench, remove the Nissan X-Trail front ABS sensor bolt.
14. Pry off the sensor with a flathead screwdriver.
15. Remove from the steering knuckle and remove the sensor.
16. Replace Nissan X-Trail front ABS sensor with a working one.
17. Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal. Bolt of its fastening tighten the moment of 10 Н•м. Tighten the wheel nuts to 108 N•m.
