Replacing the wishbone and control rod of the rear suspension on the Nissan Almera Classic

You will need: keys "for 17" (two), "for 22".
1. Place the vehicle on a lift or pit.


2. Turn out a bolt of fastening of operating draft to a beam of a back suspension bracket.


3. Turn away a nut of fastening of the cross-section lever to an arm of a beam.


4. Turn away a nut of a bolt of fastening of the cross-section lever to an arm of a body, take out a bolt..


5. ... and remove the transverse lever assembly with the control rod.
6. Turn away a nut of a bolt of fastening of an operating draft to the cross-section lever, take out a bolt and disconnect draft from the lever.
7. Check up, whether there is no deformation and cracks on the cross-section lever. Replace damaged lever.


8. Check the condition of the silent block...


9. ... and a rubber-metal hinge.


10. Measure the distances AB , BC and AC . If they are significantly different from the norm, replace the transverse arm assembly.

NOTE: Nominal values ​​of the indicated distances, mm:
AB = (207.5±5)
BC = (394.5±5)
AC = (602.0±1)


11. Inspect the control rod. It should not have cracks and mechanical damage. Measure the distance between the centers of the inner bushings of the linkage joints. It should be (107±1) mm. If the measured distance is significantly out of range, replace the control rod assembly.
