You will need:
- key "on 14"
- socket heads "for 10", "for 14", "for 19"
- extension
- knob
- flat blade screwdriver
- cylinder head cover gasket
- sealant
Replacing the cylinder head cover gasket Mitsubishi Lancer X
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.
2. Remove the decorative engine cover (see "Removing and installing the decorative engine cover", page 85).
3. Disconnect the hoses of the crankcase ventilation system from the branch pipes of the head cover (see "Cleaning the crankcase ventilation system", p. 62).
4. Remove the ignition coils (see "Removing and installing ignition coils", p. 201).
5. Disengage the ignition coil harness holders from the head cover.
6. Take a plait aside
7. Turn out 16 bolts of fastening of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders in the order shown on fig. 5 9.
8. Remove the head cover.
9. Take out a lining from grooves in a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
10. Clean the grooves of the cover and the mating surface of the cylinder head from oil residues.
11. Install a new cylinder head gasket Mitsubishi Lancer X into the cylinder head
cover. 5 10.
