Nissan Qashqai 2007 - 2013 intake manifold gasket replacement

Tools:

• pliers
• Nozzle on the crank 10 mm
• Collar for end nozzle
• Screwdriver flat medium

Notes:

Replacing the intake manifold gasket is shown on the example of the MR20DE engine, the process for replacing the gasket on the HR16DE engine differs slightly.

The rubber gasket is installed in the grooves of the intake manifold flange. In case of violation of the tightness of the manifold gasket, the engine runs unevenly (“troit”). In this case, the gasket must be replaced.

Replacing the intake manifold gasket Nissan Qashqai

1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.

2. Remove the decorative engine cover as described here .

3. Squeeze the lugs of the crankcase ventilation hose clamp with pliers, slide the clamp along the hose.

4.  Disconnect the hose from the air inlet fitting.

5. Loosen the two clamps securing the air inlet pipe.

6.  Remove the air inlet.

7. Remove the throttle assembly.

8. Press the retainer of the block of wires of the solenoid valve purge of the adsorber.

9. Disconnect the block.

10. Squeeze the lugs of the canister purge hose clamp with pliers. Slide the clamp over the hose and disconnect the hose from the valve fitting.

11. Squeeze the lugs of the clamp for fastening the crankcase ventilation hose located near the oil filler neck with pliers, slide the clamp along the hose.

12. Disconnect a hose from the union on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.

13. Turn out a bolt of an arm of the right back fastening of an inlet collector Nissan Qashqai to a head of the block of cylinders.

14. Turn out a bolt of the left back fastening of an inlet collector to a head of the block of cylinders located under throttle knot.

15. Squeeze the lugs of the brake booster hose clamp with pliers, slide the clamp along the hose.

16. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the intake manifold fitting.

17. Turn out a bolt of fastening of an arm of a decorative casing of the engine.

18. Remove the bracket.

19. Similarly, remove the second bracket.

20. Remove the oil dipstick.

21. Remove the bolts securing the intake manifold to the cylinder head in the order shown in the photo below.

22. Remove the intake manifold.

23. Remove the intake manifold gasket from the flange groove.

24. Install a new gasket on the Nissan Qashqai intake manifold.

Note:

The gasket must be replaced every time the intake manifold is removed.

25. Tighten the bolts of the intake manifold flange to the cylinder head with a torque of 27 Nm in the order shown in the photo below. Bolts of fastening of a back part of a collector to a head of the block of cylinders tighten the moment of 19,6 Nm.

26. Install all parts in the reverse order of removal.
