Replacing the front suspension arm Nissan Qashqai 2007 - 2013

Tools:

• balloon wrench
• Ball joint puller
• Silent block puller
• Wrench curved 16 mm
• Wrench curved 18 mm
• screw jack

Parts and consumables:

• Front suspension arm assembly with ball joint and silent block
• Easily penetrating lubricant

1. Jack up and place the front of the vehicle on stands. Remove the wheel.

Warning:

Loosen and tighten the wheel nuts only with the vehicle on the ground.

2. Lubricate the ball joint nut and ball joint pin with penetrating grease.

3. Holding the head of the ball joint bolt from turning with a wrench, unscrew its nut.

4. Remove the bolt from the hole.

5. Install the ball joint puller and press the ball joint pin out of the knuckle.

6. Unscrew two bolts of forward fastening of the lever of a forward suspension bracket.

7. While holding the bolt from turning, unscrew the nut with the second wrench and remove the bolt.

8. Remove the front suspension arm assembly with ball joint.

9. Examine the removed front suspension arm. Replace the deformed lever.

10. Check the condition of the front silent block.

11. Check the condition of the rear silent block.

Note:

Since the original front suspension arms are supplied complete with a ball joint and silent blocks, further disassembly of the arm does not make sense.

12. Establish details in an order, the return to removal, without tightening finally fastenings of rubber-metal hinges of the lever.

13. After lowering the car to the ground, rock it hard several times. Finally tighten the suspension bolts with the vehicle on the ground.

Note:

After replacing the front suspension arm, check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment. To do this, use the services of workshops with special equipment.
