Replacing the coarse mesh of the fuel pump Ford Focus 2
All the best! Having read various information about replacing the mesh, I decided to replace it with the hope of improvement. I think it is not necessary to buy the original grid.
1. I started by cutting metal with scissors, and I can tell you very easily!
2. We remove the metal and see the fuel pump.
3. With these pliers, which were at hand, I easily unscrewed the cover. Since hands were not an option, and I don’t advise you to avoid cuts on your hands! Oh, and be careful when removing the hose, as it is under a lot of pressure and flooded the seats a little for me. Cover with a rag! It is important!
4. When taking out the pump, be careful not to get debris from above into the tank. And carefully remove the entire system, as the float sticks out to the side!
5. After changing the grid and putting the system back, I solved the problem with the hole with the help of tin from the lid of the paint bucket. I filled it with silicone and sealed it. I don’t recommend using screws, as a hose will be stretched around the cut hole! It took 30 minutes!
One thing I noticed immediately, rides easier. And stopped twitching! It is clear that it is necessary to change and fine cleaning, but for a start, so far. I may not get that effect, but it's better. It was a pleasure to help! Good luck on the roads.
