Note:

In accordance with the maintenance regulations, we replace the spark plugs every 30 thousand km.

The manufacturer recommends using EYQUEM RFC58LZ2E or SAGEM RFN58LZ and CHAMPION RC87YCL spark plugs on K7J and K7M engines.

We work on a cold engine.

Replacement and maintenance of Renault Sandero spark plugs

1. Remove the tip of the high-voltage wire from the spark plug.

2. Before turning out the candle, remove the dirt from the well around the spark plug (it is better to blow the well with compressed air).

3. With a candle wrench or a high “16” head with an extension, we unscrew the Renault Sandero spark plug.

4. We take out the spark plug.

Note:

When installing a candle, it must be baited and screwed in by turning the candle key or extension cord with a hand without a knob, in order to avoid damaging the thread of the spark plug hole in the cylinder head.

If the candle has not gone along the thread, there will be a strong resistance to rotation. In this case, it is necessary to completely unscrew the candle and, having cleaned the thread, re-wrap it. Finally tighten the candle to the required torque.

Warning:

Overtightening the spark plug on a Renault Sandero can damage the threads in the spark plug hole in the cylinder head.

5.  Similarly, we replace the remaining candles. We install only candles recommended by the manufacturer or their analogues from other companies.
