Parts and consumables:

  • Fuel filter (GM 96335719)

Note:

In accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, the fuel filter is replaced after one year of operation or after 10,000 km (10,000 km), whichever comes first. However, taking into account the experience of operating cars in Russian conditions, we recommend replacing it every 5-6 thousand kilometers. Jerks when the car is moving, first at high and then at low speeds, most likely indicate a clogged filter.

1. To change the Chevrolet Lanos fuel filter, you need to reduce the fuel supply pressure. To do this,  turn off the ignition, open the hood of the car.

2. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.

12. Replacing the fuel filter on a Chevrolet Lanos is done in the reverse order of removal so that the arrow on the cylindrical part of the filter housing coincides with the direction of fuel flow. Connect the ends of the fuel hoses to the filter by moving along the fittings until the latches snap into place.

Note:

After installing the fuel filter, be sure to check the fuel filter connections to the fuel lines with the engine running for gasoline leaks. If necessary, repeat the operation of connecting the fuel lines until they are securely fixed. If leaks from the connections persist, replace the fuel line end o-rings or fuel line assemblies.
