Notes:

This repair description also applies to Fiat Scudo (I) 1995-2007 and Citroen Jumpy (I) 1994-2006.

The Peugeot Expert fuel filter is replaced every 40 thousand km ,  which is indicated in the service book. In addition to the appropriate replacement of the filter cartridge, the fuel filter housing must be regularly drained of condensate. This is usually done when changing the engine oil.

1.  Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.

2. Disconnect a thin fuel hose from the fuel filter.

3. Press the latches on both sides with screwdrivers and disconnect the fuel line from the fuel filter.

4.  Loosen the latch and remove the fuel filter housing retaining clip.

5. Gently, prying around with a screwdriver, open the top cover of the fuel filter housing.

6.  Lift the old Peugeot Expert fuel filter, let the fluid drain and remove it from the filter housing along with the O-ring.

7. Remove the old O-ring from the fuel filter cover and wipe the cover with a rag.

8.  Install a new replacement filter element in the fuel filter housing.

Note:

Before installing a new filter element, it is recommended to first clean the fuel filter housing from fuel and contaminants with a clean rag.

9. Install new sealing rubbers on top of the Peugeot Expert fuel filter and on the cover.

10. Close the filter housing with a lid, secure with a clamp and connect all removed fuel hoses back.

11. Remove air from the fuel system.

Note:

Air from the fuel system must be removed in cases where the system was opened.
