Note:
For safe driving on the road and maintaining optimal vehicle performance, the tire pressure of the Nissan X-Trail wheels must meet the requirements indicated on the sticker on the B-pillar in the driver's door opening.
If you notice that the wheel has to be pumped up more often than once a week, it means that it is damaged, and in order to find the cause of the air leak, we recommend that you contact the service station.
Wheel tire pressure
- 1 - recommended dimensions and characteristics of the spare wheel tire;
- 2 - recommended sizes and characteristics of front and rear tires;
- 3 - recommended pressure in the tires of the front wheels;
- 4 - recommended pressure in the tires of the rear wheels;
- 5 - recommended spare tire pressure.
According to the instructions on the sticker, the pressure in the front tires of the Nissan X-Trail should be 230 kPa , in the rear - 210 kPa, and in the spare tire - 300 kPa.
If the car is used with too high or too low tire pressure, the tires will wear out much faster. At low pressure, the edges of the tire tread wear out quickly, and at high pressure, the middle.
The air pressure in the tires of the Nissan X-Trail wheels also depends on temperature, and their heating depends on changes in air temperature. When the temperature rises, the air pressure in the tire increases, when it decreases, it decreases.
Checking tire pressure Nissan X-Trail
Note:
The tire pressure of a Nissan X-Trail wheel should be measured at a temperature equal to the ambient temperature (best after a long parking in the shade).
1. Place the car on a level surface, and turn off the ignition.
2. Unscrew the protective cap of the nipple.
3. Firmly press the pressure gauge tip against the end of the nipple. Hold it in this position for 1-2 seconds and release.
4. Return the pressure gauge to 0 and repeat the test.
5. If the pressure in the Nissan X-Trail tire is lower than required, bring it up to normal. Monitor the pressure on the pressure gauge of the pump or compressor.
Note:
When inflating, the pressure gauge shows the pressure not in the tire, but in the air supply hose.
6. If the wheel pressure in the Nissan X-Trail tire is higher than normal, sink the nipple axle with a special spike on the pressure gauge body or with a narrow screwdriver, and bleed the air.
7. Screw back the protective cap of the nipple.
