Notes:
Check and adjust the headlights on an equipped vehicle (with a fully filled fuel tank, a set of tools and a spare wheel).
1. Pre-check and, if necessary, bring the air pressure in the tires to normal.
2. Place the vehicle perpendicular to a smooth wall (eg in a garage) at a distance of 25 m. Make sure that there is no additional load in the vehicle. The vehicle is fully filled (fuel, oil, coolant). Place an additional weight of (70±20) kg on the driver's seat. Mark the screen on the wall as shown. The longitudinal plane of symmetry of the car must pass along line 0 on the screen. Rock the car from the side so that the suspension springs self-adjust.
3. Measure the height of the headlight centers from the floor on your vehicle. This will be the distance h on the screen. Measure the distance between the centers of the headlights on your vehicle. This will be the distance Wl.
4. Turn on the dipped beam, make sure that the electrocorrector is set to the “O” position.
5. It is recommended to adjust the direction of the light spot for each headlight individually. Cover the second headlight with an opaque material during adjustment.
6. Open the hood and, by turning the adjusting screws, adjust the position on the screen of the light spot for each headlight horizontally and vertically, if the location of the light spots does not match the figure.
9. Headlights are considered to be adjusted - when the upper borders of the left parts of the light spots coincide with line 4, and the vertical lines 1 and 2 pass through the points E1 and E2 of the intersection of the horizontal and inclined sections of the light spots. If fog lights are installed on the car, then the direction of their beam of light must be adjusted only in height. By turning the adjusting screw, make sure that the upper borders of the light spots are below line 4.
10. Remove the lower shield and adjust the position on the light spot screen for each headlight vertically.
