Checking and adjusting the throttle valve control cable Toyota Camry 2001 - 2006

Tools:

• Open-end wrench 14 mm

1. Fully depress the accelerator pedal and make sure the throttle is fully open.

2. With the accelerator pedal fully released, loosen the adjusting nuts.

3. Adjust the cable so that the distance between the boot and the stopper on the cable is within the nominal range.

Nominal distance at fully closed throttle is 0–1 mm.

4. Tighten the adjusting nuts and recheck.

Scheme for checking the throttle valve control cable:

1 - stopper;

2 - flexible cover;

3 - adjusting nuts;

4 - external cable.
