Adjustment of rear-view mirrors Skoda Octavia

The Skoda Octavia is equipped with electric exterior rear-view mirrors. The interior mirror is also adjustable. On the driver's side, there is a variable curvature exterior rear-view mirror, and on the front passenger's side, a constant curvature mirror. The mirror on the driver's side has a different curvature of the outer and inner parts, separated by a line.

The reflection that can be seen in the inside of the mirror is the same as in an ordinary mirror. The outer part of the mirror provides a wider viewing angle.

The outside rear-view mirrors are controlled with the ignition on from a remote control mounted on the front door.

Handle A can take the following positions:

1. Adjustment off;

2. Left outside rear view mirror adjustment mode. To adjust, turn the handle to the L position, and then slide it in the desired direction;

3. Right outside rear view mirror adjustment mode. To adjust, turn the knob to position R. and then slide it 8 in the desired direction;

4. Heating mode for outside rear-view mirrors (only on vehicles with power windows). Turn the knob to this position to turn it on.

Note:

Do not touch the outside rear-view mirrors while they are being heated. In the event of failure of the electrical adjustment device, both mirrors can be adjusted manually by pressing on their edge by hand. If the device for adjusting the position of the mirrors fails, contact a specialized service center.

To reduce the size of the car when parking in areas with heavy traffic, the outside mirror can be folded by turning it with force on the hinge until it locks. In order to return the mirror to its previous position, it is necessary to overcome the force of the clamps (a click will be heard).

The position of the interior rear-view mirror is adjusted by turning in the desired direction on the bracket hinge.

To prevent blinding by the headlights of a vehicle moving behind, you can change the position of the optical element on its support by turning the lever.
