Replacing the fuel tank and its filling pipe Chery Tiggo

Note:

If you find a fuel leak in the tank, replace the tank, as it is molded from special plastic and cannot be repaired.

If the fuel pump sieve often clogs, remove and flush the tank.

It is more convenient to remove an empty tank when working on a lift, overpass or inspection ditch. To remove the remaining fuel after disconnecting the connecting hose of the filler pipe from the tank connection, pump out the fuel through the opened hole in the tank.

Replacing the fuel tank Chery Tiggo

1. Decrease the pressure in the power supply system (see Decreasing the pressure in the power supply system of the engine ).

2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the storage battery.

3. Fold down the rear seat and remove the floor trim covering the sunroof at the base of the body above the fuel module.

4. Use a screwdriver to pry the hatch cover over the fuel tank.

5. Take her aside.

6. Press the catch.

7. Disconnect the harness connector from the fuel module.

8. Squeezing the plastic clips, disconnect the tip of the fuel drain line from the fuel module union.

9. Disconnect the tip of the fuel supply line in the same way.

10. Loosen the clamp on the fuel tank filler hose.

11. Disconnect the hose from the filler tube.

12. Loosen the fastening clamp of the connecting hose of the fuel tank ventilation in the same way.

13. Disconnect it from the ventilation tube.

14. Disconnect the fuel vapor exhaust pipe to the adsorber by squeezing its clips located on the sides of the mount.

15. Remove the hoses from the holders located on the right side of the fuel tank.

16. Remove the four bolts securing the fuel tank.

17. Carefully lower the tank.

Note:

In these places are the fuel tank mountings.

Helpful advice:

Have a second person remove the fuel tank as it is rather heavy and its shape is not comfortable to hold.

18. Install the fuel tank in the reverse order of removal.

19. After connecting the pipes and the fuel pump harness, fill the tank with gasoline, start the engine and check the tightness of all pipe connections.

1. Remove the right rear wheel and place the vehicle on a secure base.

2. Remove the right rear wheel arch liner (see Removing and installing wheel mud flaps and wheel arch liners ).
