Replacing the parking brake pads Hyundai Santa Fe
1. Engage the 1-st gear (move the automatic transmission selector to the "P" position) and install the chocks under the front wheels.
2. Loosen the rear wheel nuts.
3. Raise the rear of the vehicle with a jack, secure the vehicle and remove the wheel.
4. Remove the brake caliper.
5. Using a metal brush, clean the heads of the two brake drum mounting screws from dirt and corrosion and unscrew them.
Note:
If you cannot unscrew the disc mounts with a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew them with an impact screwdriver.
6. Remove the brake drum.
7. Use a flat screwdriver to pry and remove the upper compression spring and also remove the spacer bar.
8. Pry with a flat screwdriver and remove the lower compression spring and adjusting device.
9. Using pliers, rotate the stem by the tail until it aligns with the slot in the bracket and remove the bracket from the support leg.
10. Remove the drum pads Hyundai Santa Fe.

11. Install all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
Note:
Apply copper grease before installing the drum to prevent the brake drum from sticking.
