Note:

During the next trip, the indicator of a discharged battery lit up on the scoreboard. Also "Check ABS" and "Charging system" warnings. Immediately, other signal lamps on the dashboard came out in parallel and the electric power steering stopped working. The problem of all this turned out to be a low battery charge of about 11 volts. And the reason for this was a malfunction of the generator.

Generator

What generator is on the Toyota Corolla

This car has an original generator installed Denso DAN1018.

Generator DAN1018

Generator under the original Toyota number 27060-0N050 or Denso DAN1018.

The alternator is much easier to remove than the starter. First, the belt is removed. On this 1ND-TV engine, an automatic accessory drive belt tensioner is installed that does not require adjustment. This means that if the belt whistled, then it must be changed. It has already started to whistle for me and was replaced by the first one that came across.

Drive belt, V-ribbed, original number: Toyota 90916-02674.

I installed Dayco 6PK1185
