Parts and consumables:

  • Coolant drain container (approx. 9 l)

1. Drain the coolant from the cylinder block and radiator. Drain the radiator first and then the block. In total, there are about 9 liters of liquid in the system. The antifreeze drain valve from the block is located very close to the oil filter.

2. Using a 5mm socket wrench, remove the two nuts and two clips. Then  remove the top protective cover .

3. Remove the upper intake manifold assembly.

4. Disconnect the following wires and connectors:

– a socket of the gauge of position throttle;

– a socket of the valve of a control system of frequency of rotation of idling;

– A socket of the electropneumatic valve of system of change of geometry of an inlet collector (ACIS);

– a socket of the electropneumatic valve of a control system of pressure of fuel;

– a diagnostic socket from an arm on the valve of giving of additional air.

Disconnect:

– a vacuum hose of the amplifier of brakes from the valve of giving of additional air of the ACIS system;

– a hose of system of ventilation of a crankcase from the valve of system of ventilation of a crankcase on a back head of the block of cylinders;

– clamp and ground wire from the ACIS auxiliary air supply valve;

– A ground wire from the top part of an inlet collector;

– A clamp of a vacuum hose from a fuel tube;

- two coolant bypass hoses from the throttle body;

– a hose of supply of additional air from the throttle body;

– two air hoses of the hydraulic booster of a steering from the top part of an inlet collector;

– two vacuum hoses from tubes on a plate of a head of the block;

– a vacuum hose from a regulator of pressure of fuel.

5. Turn away two bolts and remove an arm No. 1 engine. Turn away two bolts and remove a rack of the top part of an inlet collector .

Fasteners for engine bracket #1 and upper intake manifold strut:

1 – a rack of the top part of an inlet collector;

2 - bracket No. 1 of the engine.

6. Using a socket wrench on 8 mm, turn away two bolts, two nuts and remove the top part of an inlet manifold in gathering with a lining.

7. Remove the intake manifold assembly.

8. Disconnect the six injector connectors.

9. Disconnect:

– An input fuel hose from the fuel filter;

– a hose of return of fuel from a tube of return of fuel;

- the heater hose from the intake manifold.

10. Remove nine bolts, two nuts, two washers, intake manifold, fuel manifold and injectors assy.

11. Remove the cooling system outlet pipe by removing the two bolts, two nuts, and disconnecting the coolant bypass hose. Then remove the two gaskets.

12. Remove ignition coils.

13. Turn out spark plugs.

14. Remove the timing belt .

15. Remove the camshaft pulleys and intermediate pulley.

Removing the camshaft pulleys and intermediate pulley:

1 is a special tool.

16. Remove the #3 timing belt cover by unscrewing the 6 bolts and disconnecting the three wiring clips.

17. Remove protection of an electroconducting of the engine from a flywheel.

18. Turn away two nuts and disconnect protection of conducting from a back head of the block of cylinders and an inlet branch pipe of the cooling system. At the rear of the engine, remove the five nuts and disconnect the two wire guards from the rear cylinder head.

19. In a forward part of the engine turn away two nuts and disconnect protection of an electroconducting from a forward head of the block of cylinders.

20. Turn away a bolt and disconnect a tube of a supply of a cooling liquid from an inlet branch pipe of the cooling system. Remove the O-ring from the tube.

21. Remove the rear heat shield by removing the three bolts. Remove the six nuts and remove the rear exhaust manifold with gasket.

22. Remove the front heat shield by removing the three bolts.

23. Turn away six nuts and remove a forward final collector with a lining.

24. Remove the camshaft position sensor.

25. Remove covers of heads of the block of cylinders, having turned away eight bolts of fastening.
